Given :

4/x + 3y = 8 …………...( 1 )

6/x - 4y = - 5…………...( 2 )

Elimination method is used to solve this Linear pair of Equations:

On multiplying equation (1) by 4 and equation (2) by 3:

16/x + 12y = 32………..(3)

18/x - 12y = - 15………..(4)

On adding equations (3) and (4) :

16/x + 12y = 32

18/x - 12y = - 15

------------------

34/x = 17

17x = 34

x = 34/17

x = 2

On putting x = 2 in eq (2)  we get:

4/x + 3y = 8

4/2 + 3y = 8

2 + 3y = 8

3y = 8 - 2

3y = 6

y = 6/3

y = 2

Hence, the value of the given system of equation is x = 2  and y = 2.
