Step-by-step explanation:

Solutions :-

1)

Given that :

The area of a square = 161.29 sq.units

We know that

Area of a square whose side is a units is a² sq.units

=> a² = 161.29

=> a = ±√(161.29)

=> a = ±12.7 units

Since side of the square can not be negative

So, a = 12.7 units

The side of the square = 12.7 units

We know that

Perimeter of a square = 4 a units

=> P = 4×12.7 units

=> P = 50.8 units

Answer:-

Perimeter of the given square is 50.8 units

2)

Given that :

Total number of apples Krish has = 62

Let the number of baskets be X

The number of apples in each basket = X

Since Number of baskets = Number of apples in each basket

Total number of apples in X baskets = X×X = X²

Remaining apples after put all apples in X baskets = 13

So total number of apples = X²+13

=> X²+13 = 62

=> X² = 62 - 13

=> X ² = 49

=> X =±√49

=> X = ±7

Number of apples can not be negative

X = 7

Therefore, X = 7

Answer:-

Total number of baskets = 7

Total number of apples in the each basket = 7

Check:-

Total number of baskets = 7

Total number of apples in the each basket = 7

Total apples in 7 baskets = 7×7 = 49

Remaining apples = 13

Total apples Krish has = 49+13 = 62

Verified the given relations in the given problem.

Used formulae:-

  • Area of a square whose side is a units is a² sq.units

  • Perimeter of a square = 4 a units

Step-by-step explanation:

Question 1 :-

The area of a square is 161.29 sq. units, find its perimeter.

Solution 1 :-

Area (side × side) = 161.29 cm²

side² = 161.29 cm²

side = √161.29 cm²

side = 12.7 cm

Perimeter = 4 × side

Perimeter = 4 × 12.7 cm

Perimeter = 50.08 cm

Question 2 :-

Krish has 62 apples. He put apples in some baskets such that number of apples in each basket is equal to the total number of baskets. If 13 apples are left out, find the total number of baskets and number of apples in a basket.

Solution 2 :-

No of apples = 62

No of apples left out = 13

Present no of apples = 62 - 13

  • 49 apples

So there are 7 apples in each basket and total there are 7 baskets according to the question since 49/7 = 7.
