(X+2)²

(a+b)²= a²+2ab+b²

(X+2)²= x²+2(X)(2) + (2)²

= x²+4x+4

The identity which can be used here is ( a + b)^2.

So,

(x +2)( a + b)^2 =  x^2 + 2 × x × 2 + 2^2

= x^2 +4x +4

The identity ( a + b)^2 can be expanded into a^2 +2ab +b^2
