Answer:

2x-3y=5.....(1)

x+y=5

=>3x+3y=15 [Multiplying 3 to both the sides].....(2)

Adding (1) and (2),

2x-3y+3x+3y=5+15

=>x=20

From (2)

x+y=5

=>y= -15

Answer:

(x,y)= (4,1)

Step-by-step explanation:

x+y= 5......(1)

2x-3y=5.....(2)

Multiplying equation (1) by 2 , we get

2x+2y =10......(3)

Subtracting equation (2) from equation (3) we get,

2x+2y=10

2x- 3y=5

+5y=5

y= 5

5

→ y= 1

Substituting the value of y=1 in equation (1) we get,

x+1= 5

x= 5-1

→ x= 4

Therefore the solution of this equation is

(x,y)= (4,1)

Thnx....
