x {}^{2} + 12x - 45 = 0

Now adding

( \frac{12}{2} ) {}^{2}

On Both sides

 {x}^{2} + 12x + ( \frac{12}{2} {)}^{2} = 45 + ( \frac{12}{2} ) {}^{2} \\ = > (x + \frac{12}{2} ) {}^{2} = 81 \\ = > (x + 6 {)}^{2} = 81 \\ = > x + 6 = + - 9 \\ = > x = - 15 \: or \: 3
