Given--    2x+3y = 2 .....1 , 2y - x = -8 .......2

Using elimination method

multiplying 2 equation by 2 we get -2x + 4y + 16  = 0 .....3

adding eqs 1 and 3

We get y = -2

and putting y in any of the eq we get x = 4
