Here is your answer :-

2x + y = 6. ... ( 1 )

2x - y = 2. ... ( 2 )

Adding equation ( 1 ) & ( 2 )

2x + y = 6
+
2x - y = 2
__________
4x = 8

x = 8/4

x = 2

putting ( x = 2 ) in equation ( 2 )

2 ( 2 ) - y = 2

4 - 2 = y

y = 2

( 2 , 2 ) is the solution set for the given linear equations
