Solve the given inequality graphically in two-dimensional plane: x+y<5​

x−y≤2 is the shaded region shown in the graph.

If we put O(0,0) in the LHS,we get LHS=0

Now LHS<0

Means O(0,0) lies on "less than " side of the line.

Hence required region is "origin" side of the line.

x + y < 5 graphically method.

step1:- consider the inequation as strict equation. e.g, x + y = 5

step2:- find the points on the co-ordinate axes.

e.g when x = 0, y = 5

when y = 0, x = 5

step3:- plot the graph using above values of x and y .

step4 :- take a point (0, 0) and put it in inequation x + y < 5

we get , 0 + 0 < 5 which is true .

so, the shaded region will be towards the origin .
