Given : Z=40x1+30x2 Subject to: x1+x2≤12 2x1+x2≤16 x1≥0;x2≥0

To Find :  Maximize Z

Solution:

x1+x2≤12

2x1+x2≤16

x1≥0;x2≥0

x1 = 4    x2 = 8

x1  =0   x2 = 12

x1 = 8   x2  = 0

Z=40x1+30x2

x1 = 4    x2 = 8    Z =   160 + 240  = 400

x1  =0   x2 = 12   Z  =   360

x1 = 8   x2  = 0   Z =    320

x1 = 4    x2 = 8 gives maximum Z = 400
