Given  :  A)3x + 4y = 10 and x-y=1...     B)3y - 5z = 4 and 9y - 2z = 7..

To find : using elimination method find x & y

Solution:

A)3x + 4y = 10 and x-y=1

3x  +  4y  = 10       Eq 1

x  - y     =     1         Eq2

Eq1  + 4 * Eq2  

=> 3x + 4y  + 4x - 4y  = 10 + 4

=> 7x = 14

=> x  = 2  

Eq 1 -  3 * Eq 2

=> 3x + 4y   - (3x - 3y)  = 10  - 3

=> 7y = 7

=> y = 1

x = 2  , y = 1

B)3y - 5z = 4 and 9y - 2z = 7.

3y  - 5z   = 4     .... Eq1

9y - 2z   =  7        Eq2

Eq2  - 3 * Eq1

=>  9y  - 2z   - 9y + 15z  =  7  - 12

=> 13z  =-5

=> z = -5/13

5 & Eq1  - 1 * eq2

=> 45y - 10z  - 6y  + 10z  =  35  -  8

=> 39y  = 27

=> 13y = 9

=> y  = 9/13
