EXPLANATION.

  • GIVEN

3y - 5z = 4 ......(1)

9y - 2z = 7 .......(2)

To find value of y and z

From equation (1) and (2) we get,

  1. multiply equation (1) by 2
  2. multiply equation (2) by 5

We get,

=> 6y - 10z = 8

=> 45y - 10z = 35

we get,

=> -39y = -27

=> y = 9/13

put the value of y = 9/13 in equation (1)

we get,

=> 3 X 9/13 - 5z = 4

=> 27/13 - 5z = 4

=> -5z = 4 - 27/13

=> -5z = 25/13

=> z = -5/13

Therefore,

Value of y = 9/13 and z = -5/13

Given :-

  • 3y - 5z = 4 --------- (i)
  • 9y - 2z = 7 --------- (ii)

To Find :-

  • Value of y and z

Solution :-

From equation (i) and (ii)

  • Multiply equation (i) by 2
  • Multiply equation (ii) by 5

We get,

  • 6y - 10z = 8 ---------- (iii)
  • 45y - 10z = 35 --------(iv)

Therefore we will get,

-39y = -27

=> y = 9/13

Put the value of y in equation (i)

3 × 9/13 - 5z = 4

=> 27/13 - 5z = 4

=> -5z = 4 - 27/13

=> -5z = 25/13

=> z = -5/13

Answer :-

1) Value of y = 9/13.

2) Value of z = -5/13.
