Let the ages of jayaram and Ramesh
be x and y.
As per given data,
y = 3x -10......(1)
x + y = 70......(2)
using (1) in (2)
x + (3x-10) = 70
4x = 80
x = 20
y = 3(20) - 10 = 50
Jayaram's age is 20
Ramesh's age is 50

Let us assume weight of
Jayram = x kg
Weight of Ramesh = 3x - 10
According to the problem given ,
x + ( 3x - 10 ) = 70 kg
4x - 10 = 70
4x = 70 + 10
4x = 80
x = 80/4
x = 20
Therefore ,
Weight of the Jayram = x = 20 kg
Weight of Ramesh = 3x - 10
= 3( 20 ) - 10
= 60 - 10
= 50 kg
