solve the inequalitiy 6x-5/4x+1<0

6x - 5 / ( 4x + 1) < 0

=> 6x - 5 / ( 4x + 1) * ( 4x + 1) < ( 4x + 1)

=> 6x - 5 < ( 4x + 1)

=> 6x - 5 - 4x < 4x + 1 - 4x

=> 2x - 5 < 1

=> 2x - 5 + 5 < 1 + 5

=> 2x < 6

=> 2x / 2 < 6 / 2

=> x < 3

Solution set = ( - infinity, 3).
