Step-by-step explanation:

Given inequality is 3x – 5 < x + 7

=>3x – 5 < x + 7

On adding 5 on both sides

=>3x – 5 + 5 < x + 7 + 5

=>3x - 0 < x + 12

=>3x < x + 12

On subtracting x on both sides

=> 3x - x < x - x + 12

=>2x < 0 + 12

=>2x < 12

on dividing by 2 on both sides

=>2x/2 < 12/2

=>x < 6 , x belongs to W

The solution set ={0,1,2,3,4,5}
