x+2y=5

x=5-2y

Put this value in 2x+3y=8

→2(5-2y)+3y=8

→10-4y+3y=8

→ -y=8-10

→ -y=-2

Therefore, y=2

Now, put the value of y in x+2y=5

→x+2(2)=5

→x=5-4

→x=1

therefore, x=1

HEYA MATE!!

Given Equations are:-

2x + 3y = 8   -------- (i)

x + 2y = 5   ------- (ii)

On solving (i) & (ii) * 2, we get

2x + 3y = 8

2x + 4y = 10

Thus,

-y = -2

y = 2

Substitute y = 2 in (i), we get

⇒ 2x + 3y = 8

⇒ 2x + 3(2) = 8

⇒ 2x + 6 = 8

⇒ 2x = 2

⇒ x = 1

Therefore, the values are x = 1

and y = 2.
