3x-5y=8 eq. 2

by substitution method

2x=7-3y

x= 7-3y/2

putting the value of x in eq. 2

3x-5y=8

3×(7-3y)/2-5y=8

21-9y/2-5y=8

21-9y-10y/2=8

21-19y=16

-19y = 16-21

-y= -5/19

y= 5/19

putting the value of y in eq.1

2x+3y=7

2x+3×5/19=7

2x=7-15/19

2x=133-15/19

2x=118/19

x= 118/38

x=59/19
