Answer:

11 is the median of the given data

Step-by-step explanation:

Data : 16,9,11,23,7,5,12,14,8,10,21

Data in ascending order :  5,7,8,9,10,11,12,14,16,21,23

Total numbers in the data , n = 11 (odd)

=> Median =  number in the (n+1)/2 position

= number in the 12/2 position

= number in the 6th position

                  = 11

Answer:

for finding median first we must arrange the given data in ascending order

5,7,8,9,10,11,12,14,16,21,23

no.of observations is 11

as the no.of obeservations is odd the formula is (n+1/2)

=(11+1/2)=6

so median is in 6th position

11 is in 6th position

median is 11

(OR)

after arranging the data in ascending order

the middle most value of given data

5,7,8,9,10,11,12,14,16,21,23

hence 11 is median
