Solve the numerical:

1. A crowbar has a length of 2m. It is provided at a distance of 40cm from one end. How much

effort, applied at its other end, would enable it to lift a load of 100N.

2. A mother (mass=60kg) sits at a distance of 60cm from the fulcrum of a see- saw. How far, from

the fulcrum, should her daughter (mass= 20kg) sit so that the see-saw gets balanced?

3. A fire tong of length 28cm is to be used to lift a piece of burning coal of mass 200g. If the effort

is applied at a distance of 14cm from the fulcrum, find the effort needed.

4. The rod of a mango cutter is 40cm long. The mango, needing a force of 9N for its cutting, is kept

at a distance of 10cm from its fulcrum end. Find the effort needed.
