Multiplying eq.(i)by43 and eq.(ii)by 67 we get

67(67x+43y)=24×67
4,489x+2,881y=1,608 ------------------(iv)
Sub.eq (iii) from (iv) we get;
=>4,489x+2,881y -(1,849x+2,881y)=1,608 -(-1,032)
=>4,489x+2,881y -1,849x-2,881y=1,608+1,032
=>2,640x=2,640
=>x=2,640/2640
=>x=1
Putting x=1 in eq.(i) we get;

67y=-24-43
67y=-67
y=-67/67
y=-1
