Solve the pair of equation by substitution method: 5x + 8y – 18=0 and 2x – 3y – 1 =0

by substitution method:-

here \\ 5x + 8y - 18 = 0............(1) \\ 2x - 3y  - 1 = 0................(2) \\ so \\  =  > 10x + 16y - 36=0 \\  =  > \:10x - 15y - 5=0 \\  =  > y =   1 \\ now \: putting \: value \: of \: x(1) \\  =  > 5x + 8y - 18 = 0 \\  =  > 5x + 8 \times 1 - 18 = 0 \\  =  > 5x = 18 - 8 \\  =  > x =   \frac{ 10}{5}  =  > 2

hence X=2 ,Y=1
