we get, 2x + 2y = 12

Now,

3x - 2y = 8 -(1)

2x + 2y = 12 -(2)

On adding 1 & 2 ,we get,

5x = 20------i.e., x=4

Then, substituting x=4 in eqn 1, we get,

12 - 2y = 8

On rearranging,

2y=4-----i.e., y=2
