Answer:

x = 1

y = 3

=> 5x - 3y = 4

Just take 1/x as 'a' and 1/y as 'b'. (or any other variable)

We will get a=1 and b=3

Substituting these values with 1/x and 1/y, we get x=1 and y=1/3.

Substituting x and y in 5x-y,

5*1 - 3*1/3 = 5 - 1 = 4
