Solve the pair of equations:
2/x + 3/y = 11, 5/x - 4/y = -7
hence find the value of 5x -3y​

Answer:

2/x+3/y=11.....eq1

5/x-4y=-7........eq2

now multiply eq1 by 4 and eq2 by 3

(2/x+3/y=11)4

(5/x-4/y=-7)3

8/x+12/y=11...... eq3

15/x-12/y=-21.....eq4

now subtract eq3 by eq 4

8/x+12/y=11

15/x-12/y=-21

8/x+15/x=11-21

8+15/x=-10

23/x=-10

23=-10x

x=-23/10

x=-2.3....eq5

now put eq 5th in 1st and get y
