Hi ,

It is given that ,

( x + y )/xy = 2

=> x/xy + y/xy = 2

=>1/y + 1/x = 2 ----( 1 )

( x - y )/xy = 6

=>x/xy - y/xy = 6

=> 1/y - 1/x = 6 ----( 2 )

add equations ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) , we get

2/y = 8

2/8 = y

1/4 = y

y = 1/4

substitute y = 1/4 in equation ( 1 ) ,

we get

1/4 + 1/x = 2

1/x = 2 - 1/4

1/x = ( 8 - 1 )/4

1/x = 7/4

x = 4/7

I hope this helps you.

HELLO DEAR,

(x + y)/xy = 2

x + y = 2xy-----------( 1 )

(x - y)/xy = 6

x - y = 6xy ----------( 2 )

from-----( 1 ) & ------( 2 )

x + y = 2xy

x - y = 6xy

-----------------

2x = 8xy

y = 1/4 [ put in ---( 1 )]

x + y = 2xy

x + 1/4 = 2x(1/4)

x + 1/4 = x/2

1/4 = (x - 2x)/2

-x = 1/2

x = -1/2 , y = 1/4

I HOPE ITS HELP YOU DEAR,

THANKS
