Answer:

Let 1/(x+3) be a and 1/(y-3) be b

So the equations will become

3a-2b = 1/2...(1)

9a+b = 2...(2)

Multiply equation (2) by 2 and add equation (1) ,

18a +2b+3a-2b= 4+0.5 => 21a= 4.5 => a =3/14 So substitute the value of a in equation (2) So 27/14 + b= 2 => b = 2 -27/14

= 1/14 So

1/(x+3) =3/14 => x+3 =14/3 => x = 14/3 -3=> 14-9/3 => 5/3 And 1/(y-3) = 1/14 => y-3 = 14 => y =17 So the solutions to equations are

y=17 and x=5/3 . Hope it helps you.
