KamalDubey: sir, we can also solve the question with using the A and B.
KamalDubey: sir, we can also solve the question without using the A and B.
KamalDubey: as we can directly subtract the eq. 2 from eq. 1.
KamalDubey: so there is no need of conversion of eq. into A and B.

2u + 15v = 17uv .........(1)
5u + 15v = 16uv .........(2)

now,
subtract eq. 2 from eq. 1

=> (2u + 15v = 17uv) - (5u + 15v = 16uv)
=> - 3u = uv
=> v = -3

put this in eq. 1

=> 2u +15*(-3) = 17u*(-3)
=> 2u - 45 = -51u
=> 2u + 51u = 45
=> 53u = 45
=> u = 45/53

hence, u = 45/53 and v = -3

this is the required solution.....

mysticd: am i right sir
KamalDubey: yes, if the question is asked to use reducing method. than you are correct. But if the question is asked in normal equation. then elimination method.
KamalDubey: is this possible. sir.
KamalDubey: the question is of reducing method. therefore you are correct sir...
KamalDubey: thank you for notified me about the reducing method.
KamalDubey: sorry to disturbed you. sir.
mysticd: no problem .ur method is correct for this problem B'coz coffiecients if v are equal
KamalDubey: hmm
mysticd: we cannot apply this for all problems
KamalDubey: yes i understand..... i forgotten that i have to use reducing method...
