x+2y +1 =0

2x –3y –12=0

x/(-12×2+3×1) = -y/(-12×1–2×1) = 1/(-3×1–2×2)

x/(-21) = y/14 = 1/-7

Then simplify with multiplied by -7 ,we get.

x/3 = y/-2 = 1

Then both x & y term equate to 1 respectively,we get value of x and y.

x/3 = 1

x = 3, and

y/-2 = 1

y = -2
