Solve the pair of linear equation by elimination and substitution method
X+y= 5 and 2x-3y= 4​

Answer:

by elimination method

2x+2y=10 (multiply by 2)

-2x+3y=4

0-y=6

y= -6

x=5-y=5-(-6)

=5+6=11

by substitution method

let y=5-x. eqn 1

put the value of the eqn 1 in

2x+3y=4

2x+3*5-x=4

2x+15-3x=4

-x+15=4

x=15-4=11

y=5-x

=5-11= -6
