EXPLANATION.

  • GIVEN

pair of linear equation by elimination method.

TO FIND X AND Y.

=> x + 2y = 2 ......(1)

=> x - 3y = 7 ........(2)

From equation (1) and (2) we get,

=> multiply equation (1) by 3

=> multiply equation (2) by 2

we get,

=> 3x + 6y = 6

=> 2x - 6y = 14

we get,

=> 5x = 20

=> x = 4

put the value of x = 4 in equation (1)

we get,

=> x + 2y = 2

=> 4 + 2y = 2

=> 2y = 2 - 4

=> 2y = -2

=> y = -1

Therefore,

value of x = 4 and y = -1

Given :

  • 2 Equations

  • \sf{x + 2y = 2 \:  \:  \:  \:  \: ...(i)}
  • \sf{x - 3y = 7 \:  \:  \:  \:  \: ...(ii)}

To Find :

  • Value Of x and y by Elimination Method.

SOLUTION :

Subtract Equation (2) from (1)

We Get,

\sf{y =  - 1}

Putting ( y = -1 ) in Equation ( 1 )

\sf{x + 2( - 1) = 2}

\sf{x = 4}
