given equation (1)=4x-y=4

given equation (2)=4x+y=12

  • now by substitutions method ,

we get,

from (1),

4x=4+y

x=4+y/4............... let this be equation (3)

now,from equation (2),

substitute the equation,i.e x value in (2)

we get,

= 4(4+y/4)+y=12

now, 4+y+y=12

=. 4+2y=12

2y=12-4

2y=8

y=8/2

.

. . y=4,

and now substitute y value in x

we get,. x=4+4/4

x=8/4

=. x=2

so now x=2and y=4

hope you understood this☺️☺️
