=> x+y=5 => x= 5-y ...(I)

=> 2x - 3y = 4. .....(ii)

putting the value of x from eq.(i) in eq. (ii)

=>2(5-y) -3y = 4

=> -5y = -6

=> y = 6/5

=> x = 19/5
