Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

  • the pair of linear equations 2x + 3y = 4 and 3x - y = -5

To Find :-

  • Find the number of x and y.

Solution :-

=> 2x + 3y = 4. .......... 1 equ.

=> 3x - y = -5 ......... 2 equ.

=> -y = -5-3x

=> y = 5+3x

Applying y value from equ. 2

=> 3x - y = -5

=> 3x -5+3x = -5

=> 6x -5 = -5

=> 6x =5-5

=> x = 6

according to the equation 1

2x + 3y = 4

12 + 3y = 4

3y = 4-12

3y = -8

y = -8/3
