Answer:2x+y=8. equation 1

x+6y=15 equation 2

Multiply equation ( 2) by 2

2x+12y=30. Equation 3

Subtracting equation (1) and(3)

2x+y=8

2x+12y=30

(-) (-). (-)

-11y =-22

y=22÷11

y=2

Subst y=2 in equation (1)

2x+y=8

2x+2=8

Now +2 will go there and become -2

2x=8-2

2x=6

x=6÷2

x=3
