Let's choose the elimination method

x - y = 5_______(i)

(i) *3 = 3x - 3y = 15_____(ii)

2x - 3y = 5 _____(iii)

Subtracting (iii) from (ii)

(+)3x - 3y = (+)15

(-)2x (+)- 3y = (-)05

+x +0y = +10

x = 5

Apply x = 10 in (i)

10 - y = 5

-y = 5 - 10 = -5

y = 5

Therefore, x = 10 and y = 5
