x + 3y = 6 •••••(1)

2x -3y = 12•••••(2) [Elimination method]

_________

3x = 18

x = 6....ans...

put x = 6 in equ-----(1)

we get,

x + 3y = 6

6 +3y = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

x + 3y = 6

x = 6 - 3y

substitute \: x = 6 - 3y \: in \: equatin \: 2

2(6 - 3y) - 3y = 12

12 - 3y - 6y = 12

 - 3y =  - 6y

actually \: these \: pair \: of \: linear \: equations \: are \: incnsistent \: they \: have \: no \: solution
