7x - 5y = - 1 \\ \to \: x = \frac{5y - 1}{7} \\ 5x - 7y = - 11 \\ \to \: 5( \frac{5y - 1}{7} ) - 7y = - 11 \\ \to \: 25y - 5 - 49y = - 77 \\ \to \: - 24y = - 72 \\ \to \: y = 3 \\ x = \frac{5 \times 3 - 1}{7} \\ = \frac{15 - 1}{7} \\ = \frac{14}{7} \\ = 2
