Average age of 5 boys is 12 years

Age of 4 children are 6, 11, 12, 16

Let the age of 5th child be 'x' years.

\large\bold\red{Using \:  the  \: formula \:  of \:  average }

\small\bold\red{average \:  =  \frac{sum \: of \: observations}{number \: of \: observation} }

 \frac{6 + 11 + 12 + 16 + x}{5}  = 12 \\ 45 + x = 60 \\ x = 15

So age of 5th children is 15 years.
