Let the age of the mother be x years
Let the age of her daughter be y years

From the data :- x+y=60-------------1

Also,(x+15)=2(y+15)
=>x+15=2y+30
=>x-2y=15---------------2

Subtracting equation 1 from equation 2:-

x+y=60
x-2y=15
- + -

=>3y=45
=>y=15

Now substituting value of y in equation 1:-

x+y=60
x=60-15
x=45

Answer :- Mother's present age =x=45 years
Daughter's present age=y=15years
