In isosceles right angled triangle ABC , AB=BC= x cms.(let) and hypotenuse

AC^2= 98sq.cm. => AC =√98 = 7√2 cm.

AB^2+BC^2=AC^2

or. x^2+x^2=98.

or. 2.x^2=98 cm^2.

or. x^2=49 cm^2.

or. x= 7.cm.

AB=BC= 7 cms. and. AC=7√2 cms.
