FIRST METHOD


Let no. of eggs = a

using euclid division lemma


a= 7x+1 =0

a=6x+2=5

a =5x+3=4

a = 4x +4=3

a= 3x +5=2

Clearly given in question not more than 150 eggs

So find the smaller number than 150 and which is divisible by 7 also

149, 142 , 112, 119 , 102, 7 , 14 ..,


Clearly 119 is divisible by 7 and smaller than 150

Clearly 6 is divisible by 5 and obtained remainder 4

remainder is 3 when we divide by 4

remainder is 2 when we divide by 3

remainder is 1 when we divide by 2


HENCE 119 EGG WERE BROKEN
