Let we consider the motion of Geeta(towards west) is positive

and motion of Seeta(towards east) is negative

velocity of Seetha w.r.t to ground(Vs)= 1 m/s

velocity of Geeta w.r.t. to ground(Vg)= -2 m/s

velocity of Seeta w.r.t. to Geeta

⇒ Vsg=Vs-Vg

⇒Vsg= 1-(-2) m/s

⇒Vsg= 3m/s
