1. Let the resultant temperature be θ

3. Use \rm{ Q = msΔθ_f } to find heat lost when water 100°C cools to \rm{ θ°C }

4. Add 2 and 3 to final total heat lost.

5. Use \rm{ Q=mL_ice } to find heat gained when ice at 0°C melts to form water at 0°C.

6. Use \rm{ Q=mΔθ_r } to find heat gained when water at 0°C to θ°C.

7. Add 5 and 6 to find total heat gained.

8. Equate 4 and 7 to find \rm{ θ } in the given form.
