u ( initial velocity ) = 0

t ( time ) = 30 sec = 3 / 360 hr

v (final velocity ) = ?

by formula

s = ut + 1/2 at^2

0.5 = 0 + 1/2 a ( 3/ 360 ) ^2

0.5 = 1/2 (a) 9 / 129600

0.5 = 9 / 259200 (a)

a = 0.5 . 259200 / 9

a = 5 . 259200 / 9 . 10

a = 129600/9

a = 14400 km / h ^2

v = u + at

v = 0 + 14400 ( 3 / 360) hr

v = 120 km / hr
