Answer:

\frac{x+1}{2x+3} = \frac{3}{8}

8(x+1) = 3(2x+3)   [ CROSS-MULTIPLICATION ]

8x+8 = 6x+9

8x-6x = 9-8

2x = 1

x= 1/2 = 0.5
