(2x^2 - 8x +3x -12)= 6

2x^2 -5x -12 -6 = 0

2x^2 - 5x -18= 0

2x^2 +4x -9x -18= 0

2x( x+2) -9( x+2)= 0

( 2x -9)( x+2)= 0

x= 9/2, -2
