Here's your answer...

6x²-x-2 = 0

Then sum = -1
Product = -12

The middle term will split to -4 and 3

6x²-4x+3x-2 = 0
2x(3x-2)+1(3x-2) = 0
(3x-2)(2x+1) = 0
3x-2 = 0 or 2x+1 = 0
x = ⅔ or -½

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

6x^2-3x+4x-2=0

3x(2x-1)+2(2x-1)=0

(3x+2)(2x-1)=0

If 3x+2=0

Then x=-2/3 reject negative

Therefore, x=1/2
