Solve the quadratic equation for X :2 xsquare +a X -a square=0

2x^2 + ax - a^2 = 0
Roots of quadratic eqn. is given by,
[-b +- rt(b^2-4ac)]/2a
[-a +- rt((-a)^2 -(4*-a^2*2))]/2*2
[-a +- rt(9a^2)]/4
[-a+-3a]/4
X= -4a/4 , 2a/4
So.X= -a, a/2
