Solutions of Quadratic equation t²+3t-10=0 are (-5, 2)

GIVEN:

t²+3t-10=0

TO FIND:

Solve the given quadratic equation

SOLUTION:

We will solve the given quadratic equation by factorizing

Given  t²+3t-10=0

Split the term 3t as 5t - 2t   [ ∵ 5 × 2 =10 ]

⇒ t² + 5t - 2t -10

Take t and 2 common as shown below

⇒ t (t+5) - 2(t +5)

Now take (t+5) common

⇒ (t+5) (t - 2)

⇒ t+5 = 0     and      t - 2 = 0

   t = -5                    t = 2

Therefore solutions of Quadratic equation t²+3t-10=0 are (-5, 2)
