Given quadratic equation
=  x^2 - 6x + 5 = 0

Now by using sridhacharya formula or binomial formula

which is
 \frac{ - b \: ± \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac } }{2a}
then by using values in above's formula

 = \frac{ - ( - 6) ± \sqrt{ {6}^{2} - 4 \times 1 \times 5 } }{2} \\ \\ = \frac{6 ± \sqrt{36 - 20} }{2} \\ \\ = \frac{6 ± \sqrt{16} }{2} \\ \\ = \frac{6 + 4}{2} \: \: and \: \: \frac{6 - 4}{2} \\ \\ = \frac{10}{2} \: \: and \: \: \frac{2}{2} \\ \\ = 5 \: and \: 2
hope it helps
