x²+ 3x = 10

=> x² + 3x -10 = 0

now use middle term splitting method for factorisation :-

x² + 3x - 10 = 0

=> x²+5x-2x-10 = 0

=> x(x+5) - 2(x+5) = 0

=>(x-2)(x+5)= 0

So, (x -2) = 0. or. (x+5) =0

. x = 2. or. x = -5

So the roots are 2 and -5
